Ryan Duve
Executive Director

Ryan Duve is an Executive Director who has worked with seniors and staff, at multiple levels, for over 20 years to create a supportive and hospitality-focused environment. Ryan also knows a great team is the key to happy residents. If staff are properly trained, know they are valued and have opportunities for growth and personal fulfillment, they are happy and will make “magic” happen. Over the years, Ryan has had the opportunity to work with legislatures to improve assisted living regulations for the benefit of business owners and seniors alike. Ryan holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology and Child Development from Arizona State University.

Traci Jacobsen
Director of Sales and Marketing

Traci is a proud Arizona native; born and raised in the Valley of the Sun. For over 25 years she has been focused on seniors and has aligned her career towards making a difference in the community. Serving in a variety of settings ranging from upscale continuing care retirement communities, independent living, memory care, assisted living and hospice, Traci came to Clarendale of Chandler in 2018. Formerly our Directory of Community Relations, she was promoted to the Director of Sales and Marketing position in 2020. Traci likes enthusiastic words like “awesome” to describe her hometown and “amazing” when she talks about Clarendale, but she’s very serious about the importance of choosing the right place to live. “It’s really all about remarkable connections with people. Julie Mitchell
Sales Counselor

Julie is a Sales Counselor who works with prospective residents and their families to find their perfect next home here at the Clarendale of Chandler. Julie believes the work we do here sets our seniors up for success in an environment where they can flourish socially, emotionally and physically. Julie is a proud Navy Veteran who began her 12 years of service as a Hospital Corpsman at the age of 17. Her various duty stations afforded her the opportunity to travel from coast to coast and throughout Japan. Julie has an expanse of knowledge in many service and business industries to include health care, finance, mediation, marketing, sales, and cheffing, but has found her greatest joy in serving our senior community and their families. Julie holds an Accredited Diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking and Restaurant Management from the Arizona Culinary Institute and a Masters of Business Administration Specialized in Health Care Administration from National University.

Bridget Heimer
Move-In Coordinator

My role as the Move-In Coordinator is to work with families to complete all the move in processes. What this means for you and your family is, once a deposit is collected on the apartment of your choice, the next steps are dedicated to completing paperwork, ensuring the room is ready in a timely manner, while working closely with you and your family providing a smooth transition for your loved one. Not only do I take pride in my work, but my passion is connecting and building relationships with you and your families. I have been married to my husband Jason of almost 19 years, I am a mom of 3 boys- Preston (25), Carson (16) and Dawson (15). We also have a very spoiled Shi-Tzhu named Ginger. We are originally from Marion, Iowa but moved here in 2017 from Mequon, WI. In my spare time I can be found at the gym, riding my bike, hiking, spending time with family or being in my kitchen baking and decorating cakes.

Heather Norris
Business Office Manager

Heather Norris is the Business Office Manager. She is a proud Native American from the Navajo Nation, born and raised in Ganado, Arizona. Born of the Ma’ii Deeshgiizhinii (Coyote Pass People Clan) and Tachii’nii (Red Running into The Water People Clan). For over 15 years Heather has worked in Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities helping seniors live life to the fullest and thrive. She enjoys making a difference in senior living communities. Heather joined Clarendale of Chandler in 2020 with experience from Caregiving to Accounting and Human Resource, and also assisted many other communities with management. She considers seniors as her grandparents away from home. Her passion is working with seniors because she gets to be a part of their life and journey by hearing their life story or making each other laugh and being their friend. Heather has an Assisted Living Manager Certificate.

Heather enjoys spending time with her two kids Paige and Codey. She loves her family, filling the home with love, laughter and making memories. Experiencing new adventures with her kids, they like to go on long walks and play games outside, ride bikes and watch movies. Heather has also taken up running and that is a new passion that she enjoys for myself.

Amy Castillo
Director of Health Services

Amy Castillo is the Director of Health Services. With over 20 years experience as an LPN and in senior living, she enjoys working with her beloved seniors. She has worked in many different settings including Independent living, Assisted Living and Memory Care in both a clinical and administrative capacity. She is committed to working alongside Clarendale’s outstanding care team, residents and their loved ones to cultivate and ensure an excellent senior care experience where all can feel at home and be proud of each other as they work, live and thrive together. Amy believes kindness and respect for one another is the foundation to what her team does every day, and she strives to lead by example. She was born in New York and raised in several different states including Florida, California and Nevada and moved to Arizona in 2015. She is a proud Mama Bear to six kids. Ramon, Lily and Jonny are adults. Isabella, Rocco, and Maximus are in grade school. Amy enjoys crafting, shopping, reading and any adventure with her kids. She is also big on Sunday dinner and loves to cook delicious meals for her family and set themed tables. Amy has a great sense of humor and love to be silly, has two furry pups at home, and speaks both English and Spanish.

Jude Walker
Director of Culinary Services

Jude Walker is the Director of Culinary Services and has been practicing his passion of Culinary Arts for almost two decades. He is an Arizona native, born and raised in Mesa and started his culinary journey at East Valley Institute of Technology, where he developed a love for cooking. From there he attended Scottsdale Community College Culinary Arts Program and was trained in a fine dining essence. Since then, he has explored the culinary world by working at chain restaurants, fast-paced high-volume kitchens, country clubs and even started a food truck “2 Fat Guys Grilled Cheese.” Jude fell into senior living over ten years ago, worked for six different senior living companies and absolutely love bringing the culinary world into the home of seniors. He believes in fresh ingredients, nutritional options and color on the plates. Jude says “There is nothing more gratifying then to have an 87-year-old tell me ‘That was the Best Prime Rib I have ever had!’ and by my calculations, that is just about six decades of eating prime rib and mine was the best.”
Jude has two boys and a little girl, says he is married to the most amazing, beautiful woman in the world, and enjoys being a teacher to his culinary TEAM. His motto is “If you take pride into tying your shoe so that it does not come untied throughout the day and apply that same pride to all aspects of your life, then you will be successful.”

Jody Jackson
Director of Life Enrichment

Jody Jackson is the Director of Life Enrichment, in charge of activities/events at our community. She has been putting together great teams in this capacity for about 6 years and has a knack to be able to create teams that are fun, caring, loved by residents and enrich lives each day. She began her Senior Living career as a Move-In-Coordinator when this position became available. She has always loved putting on events, planning parties, decorating, etc., and says “I knew right away that this is what I was meant to do.” Jody says “Getting to know our residents, learning their stories, seeing the smiles when we have helped to coordinate a moment and sharing each day with them is a wonderful gift.”

Bob LaPlante
Director of Plant Operations

Bob LaPlante is the Director of Plant Operations. He has been part of the Clarendale team since 2019 and his work experience has always revolved around family and helping others. He previously worked with the Navajo Generating Station Engineering staff (28 years), was the Page Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief, and served on the Page Unified School District School Board. He also worked for the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phoenix Suns, and works on NASCAR race days at Phoenix International Raceway. Bob’s team at Clarendale strives to keep everything working and help the residents in any way possible! “Find A Way To Say Yes!” is a slogan Bob brings to Clarendale from his time working with the Diamondbacks.
Bob’s mother-in law is one of the founding residents at Clarendale of Chandler. He and his wife Debra have been married for over 48 years. They have 3 grown daughters and 7 grandchildren.
