Clarendale of Chandler’s Jude Walker named 2022 Employer of the Year by Chandler Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities

The Chandler Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities awards this distinction annually to an employer who provides an enriched environment for individuals with disabilities to thrive in the workplace.

Freddy Rodriguez, a server at the community, nominated Jude, Director of Culinary Services for Clarendale of Chandler, by saying “I’m nominating Jude for helping me to work in the community and manage my autism. He is patient. He breaks down my tasks so I understand what I need to do in my job.”

Executive Director for the community, Ryan Duve, commends Jude’s dedication to working with Freddy not only in his job duties, but also in teaching life skills.

Jude received his award at the Chandler City Council meeting in late February 2023. Freddy was also recognized as Student of the Year by the committee.
